The Venture

In 2017 I worked with Gimlet Creative on this podcast about offbeat entrepreneurs who founded pioneering businesses, from record label Kill Rock Stars to early reality show The Real World. The show was a branded podcast with Virgin Atlantic as the sponsor. The stories were pure entertainment. I was the interviewer and host.

I’d listened to at least two seasons of Startup by this point so I was delighted to get to work with the team at Gimlet. They did not disappoint. I worked with some fabulous producers and editors. We did two reporting trips to the west coast for the series, and my day at the Dr. Bronner’s soap factory near San Diego with producer Julia Botero is not something I’ll forget in a hurry.
